Multicultural Day

Multicultural book reading by Catford Library staff and parents, Cultural Show & Tell, dancing to music from various countries, lots of homemade food from different ethnicity to taste/eat and social interaction and bonding with one another.

"Really enjoyed it, food was a highlight, hearing about everyone’s culture was really interesting, reading from the book was different and really enjoyable for Grace."

"Liked the show and tell, very interesting, very interactive, children were very involved, the food was really good (music too), very inclusive, nice to talk to the other parents and meet the other children."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the multicultural event, it was very educational and also enjoyed seeing Kareem interacting with everyone. The food was yummy and the clothes were beautiful. Creating the art with Kareem was nice even though he didn't accept my artistic help. Kareem looked very handsome, so thank you for that."

"As a new parent, the picnic was a nice opportunity to meet the nursery team, parents and children in a different environment. I also believe this session helped Beatrice with the home/nursery transition (as we know this was not easy at the time!) as she saw me interact and spend time with you all. The weather was amazing and lots of fun and diversified activities were planned and lead by staff. Thanks again for organising."

"The picnic at the park was so fun! The children thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the more interactive side i.e. introducing their teddy bears and talking about it to their friends, painting and playing with the bubbles! Even the reading of the books! It was really well thought out and planned!"
