ABOUT US

The Ark Children Centre provides a friendly, warm and safe nursery environment, whilst focusing on the children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs.


Our ethos is that, if a child is happy, in a safe secure environment, they will develop to their full potential.


We are a small and homely children’s nursery in the heart of Evelyn Street, Lewisham. We provide children aged 0-5 years with the very best care and education in a warm and friendly environment where children are nurtured and encouraged to reach their own individual potential. Our “home away from home” environment is familiar to young children, enabling them to settle quickly and develop positive relationships from the outset.


We ensure that our staff and children and families get to know each other and the children are happy and confident creating a friendly caring community.


OUR EDUCATORS

Our educators are trained professional with a deep passion for children. Many of our educators have specialised training in fine arts such as music and art.

As a practitioner with years of working with children, I am passionate about creating a safe environment where children are free to explore their curiosity. We are very much child-centred, with the foundations of our planning being the children’s interests so that they really engage with all the activities and opportunities on offer. Our hope for every child in our care is that they leave us with a love of learning – excited to take on their next challenge of starting school.
